About
“If you’ve spent any time in Milford, Michigan, you’ve probably seen Marie Kelly’s work—whether you knew it or not. She’s the creative force behind events, content, and community-building projects that bring people together and make things happen.”
Meet Marie
Marie Kelly is one of those people who makes things happen—and makes them feel fun while she’s at it. She owns and operates Milford Kitchen, her creative studio where she serves up content strategy, food styling, photography, and social media storytelling for small businesses. She’s also the founder of Women In Milford, a thriving community of female entrepreneurs that hosts packed monthly meetups, events, and creative collaborations that uplift women in business—all rooted in her love for connection, great visuals, and even better vibes.
Over the years, Marie has left her mark all over Milford, Michigan. She served on the Board of Directors at the Milford Independent Cinema, where she launched events like Dinner & A Movie nights and Hollywood’s Big Night, and helped bring movie magic to life with everything from poster design to press write-ups. She also organized the legendary Ferris Bueller’s Day Off float for the Milford 4th of July Parade—complete with choreography, sunglasses, and, yes, she played Ferris. Marie’s the kind of person who shows up for her community, whether she’s helping plan an MLK Day event or turning a simple recipe into a viral-worthy photo shoot for a local maker.
Originally from metro Detroit and the youngest of five, Marie brings heart, humor, and hustle to everything she does. She spent her early life as a ballerina, danced at Disney World, ran an indie record label out of Detroit, and fell in love with her now-husband Nick over a college mix tape (which he later turned into a proposal). They live in Milford with their Bernedoodle, Murphy, in a home Nick found based on a photo of the kitchen—because of course he knew that’s where the magic happens.
Marie is a builder, a doer, and a storyteller. Whether it’s through content, community, or collaboration, she’s always cooking up something meaningful.
